Patagonia Gold Announces Drill Results from Piche Structure at Its Calcatreu Project in the Rio Negro Province
Patagonia Gold Corp. has announced drill results from the Piche Structure at its Calcatreu Project in Argentina's Rio Negro Province, revealing significant gold and silver intercepts. The drilling identified up to 11.4 grams per tonne of gold and 153 g/t of silver over 0.85 meters. The Calcatreu Project, located in the Somuncura Massif, holds indicated resources of 9.8 million tonnes with 2.11 g/t gold and 19.83 g/t silver, and inferred resources of 8.1 million tonnes with 1.34 g/t gold and 13.1 g/t silver. The company received permits for mine and heap leach pad construction in November 2024 and completed 7 HQ-sized core holes for mineralization and geotechnical purposes. The CEO highlighted the potential for additional mineralization and the completion of geotechnical drilling. The Piche structure, a low-sulfidation epithermal deposit, spans 400 meters and is characterized by quartz veins and breccias. The company adheres to standard QAQC procedures, with a technical report available on SEDAR+.
