More people are starting nursing training in Germany, with a 9% increase last year. The number of male trainees has risen by 4%, though women still make up the majority. In 2024, around 147,100 people were in nursing training. In 2023, over 33,000 people completed the new, unified nursing training program. Approximately 1,200 people began nursing studies in 2024.
