Amaju Pinnick faces strong competition from Fouzi Lekjaa (Morocco) and Hany Abou Rida (Egypt) to retain his FIFA Council seat during the CAF elections in Cairo on March 12. He is one of ten candidates vying for five available seats. Kanizat Ibrahim (Comoros Islands) and Isha Johansen (Sierra Leone) will compete for the reserved female seat. The CAF Executive Committee elections are less competitive except in Southern Africa (COSAFA). Bestine Kazadi (Congo) is set to claim the uncontested female seat on the CAF Executive Committee.
