Polar Preet delays for a year unsupported solo trek to North Pole

The adventurer said she will have an extra year to train and prepare.

Harpreet Chandi, known as Polar Preet, has postponed her unsupported solo trek to the North Pole by a year due to insufficient funding. Originally planning to depart from Ellesmere Island, Canada, in March, she now sees the delay as an opportunity to train and secure support. Chandi, a former British Army captain, is renowned for being the first Asian woman to ski solo to the South Pole and holds records for polar expeditions.
