The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has launched an investigation into Hampshire Chief Constable Scott Chilton for allegedly failing to disclose a conflict of interest related to a past relationship. The investigation, triggered by a referral from the Hampshire Police and Crime Commissioner, is in its early stages. Chilton, who also serves as the national lead for chief constables on investigations and tactics, training, and equipment, will remain in his post with the full support of the Police and Crime Commissioner.
