Poppies return to the Tower of London: Ceramic 'flowers' seen by more than five million in 2014 will be reinstalled to mark 80th anniversary of end of WWII

More than five million people, including Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, saw the sea of 'poppies' that were installed in the Tower of London 's moat in 2014.

Ceramic poppies from the 2014 Tower of London installation, "Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red," will be reinstalled to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. Nearly 30,000 of the original 888,246 poppies will be displayed from May 6 to November 11. The display is designed to resemble a wound at the heart of the Tower.
