Toronto speed cameras have been targeted by vandalism, including the use of power tools to cut down poles and break into units. In one weekend, eight cameras were vandalized and their internal devices stolen. A specialized tool was used on Parkside Drive, and a series of attacks in September 2024 caused cameras to be offline. The city reports no recent "serious vandalism", but minor vandalism such as spray painting has occurred.
