Romania's first integrated obesity management center has opened in Timisoara. The center will offer personalized treatment from a multidisciplinary team to combat obesity, which affects approximately 70% of the adult population in Romania. Patients will be assessed by a case manager and guided through the center's resources, with consultations available for free with a referral, covered by the National Health Insurance House. Timis county has approximately 253,000 obese residents and 49,528 with diabetes.
