Racehorse Ownership Club faces uncertain future after founder 'disqualified'

Racehorse Ownership Club boss Stephen Bean has been placed on the British Horseracing Authority forfeit list due to 'non-payment of training fees'

The Racehorse Ownership Club, a prominent British syndicate known for its distinctive red-and-white diamond silks, faces an uncertain future after founder Stephen Bean was disqualified by the British Horseracing Authority for non-payment of training fees. The club, which boasts 6,000 members owning microshares in its horses, is currently unable to field runners. Six of its horses were sold at the Tattersalls Online February Sale, with four being repurchased by Bean. Bean stated that while the club remains solvent, its ownership registration was canceled on February 5, necessitating the dispersal of the horses to ensure no further costs to the club.
