On February 15, the home of newlyweds Eleni Vrettos and Tom Davis in Cicero, Illinois, was destroyed in an explosion caused by a guest, Anthony Avila-Puebla, who died in the blast. Avila-Puebla, who left the wedding ceremony, was seen on surveillance video bringing flammable liquids to the house. The couple, away at their ceremony, learned of the explosion shortly after. The home, uninsured, held sentimental value as Vrettos's childhood home. Six cats, whose fate is unknown, lived there. The investigation into Avila-Puebla's motive is ongoing.
