Reps pass bill to amend requirements for election as president, governor

The Nigerian House of Representatives passed a bill for second reading to amend the constitution, raising the minimum educational qualification for President and Governor to a university degree and setting a maximum age of 60 for presidential candidates. They also rescinded a previously passed bill that aimed to remove immunity from prosecution for Vice Presidents, Governors, and Deputy Governors.
