Riesenaussellung zu Leonardo und Dürer in Wien: Hundertfünfzigfaches Staunen

Welches Museum bekommt heute noch 26 Leonardos zusammen? Die Wiener Albertina mit der Einstandsausstellung des neuen Direktors Ralph Gleis.

The Albertina in Vienna is hosting an exhibition featuring 26 Leonardo da Vinci drawings, primarily from Windsor Castle, alongside works by other Renaissance masters like Dürer, Titian, and Jan Gossaert. The exhibition, the inaugural show of the new director Ralph Gleis, focuses on master drawings of the Renaissance on colored grounds, highlighting the different approaches to color in drawing between Northern and Southern European artists. Leonardo's studies include anatomical sketches, animal studies, and preparations for larger works, while Dürer's works show his increasing use of color after his trips to Italy.
