Former Rivers State local government chairmen, elected in 2015 under the Amaechi administration but ousted by a court after Wike took office, are seeking to reclaim their positions based on a recent Court of Appeal judgement that reinstated them. They claim the ruling nullifies the previous judgement that removed them and that a Supreme Court ruling also supports their claim.
