Russia and Ukraine conducted a prisoner exchange, each releasing 175 captives, in one of the largest swaps since the start of the war. Ukraine also received 22 severely wounded captives as a goodwill gesture. The exchange, facilitated in part by the United Arab Emirates, involved soldiers captured from various regions. Since the start of the invasion, Ukraine has seen the release of over 4,000 captives.
