Saskatchewan schools grateful for extra funding in 2025 budget

In the Saskatchewan provincial budget announced on Wednesday the education sector will be receiving an overall budget of $3.5 billion.



The 2025 Saskatchewan budget allocates $3.5 billion to education, a 5.5% increase from last year, including $2.4 billion in operating funding for school divisions (an 8.4% increase). The budget addresses the new teacher collective agreement, provides $4.6 million for mental health initiatives, $65 million for preventative maintenance, and $191.3 million for school capital projects, including new and replacement schools.
