The woman ended up needing help herself after trying to rescue two of her animals at Balcary Point in Dumfries and Galloway.

A Scots farmer was rescued by helicopter after getting stuck on cliffs while attempting to save two sheep at Balcary Point near Auchencairn in Dumfries and Galloway. HM Coastguard’s Stewart Bryden stated that the woman, who went down to rescue the sheep, required assistance herself. The Rescue 936 helicopter was dispatched, and the farmer was safely retrieved. Bryden advised against attempting such rescues alone, urging people to call 999 instead.
