The case was identified in an elderly adult out of 90 samples tested. The minister emphasized that the risk of hMPV remains low in Ghana, noting that the country's disease surveillance systems are robust and capable of quickly identifying and managing any detected cases. The announcement was made during a parliamentary briefing on the ongoing cholera and meningitis outbreaks, following a request for a comprehensive report.
