Sir Elton John has been named the 15th Glenn Gould Prize Laureate for his impact on the arts and humanity. The biennial award, often called the "Nobel Prize of the Arts," recognizes a lifetime contribution that has enriched the human condition and includes a cash prize, with the laureate also selecting a young artist to receive the Glenn Gould Protégé Prize.
