SmartSuite, an enterprise collaboration platform enabling teams to collaborate, automate workflows, and search across large datasets across various apps, has raised $38 million in funding to expand its operations. The platform integrates with AWS as a closed-loop system for document management. Founded by Jon and Tara Darbyshire, along with Peter Novosel, the company builds on their experience from Archer, a risk management platform they previously sold for over $2 billion. SmartSuite aims to simplify complex processes like governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) for enterprises, with notable investors including Canapi Ventures. The platform offers 200+ templates for common workflows and counts several banks and financial institutions as customers.
