Some Toronto Blue Jays fans aren't crazy about new banners at Rogers Centre

The vibes were almost perfect at Rogers Centre on Friday night.An opening montage of last season's journey brought memories rushing back from one of the greatest runs in franchise history. Vladdy Guerrero Jr. and George Springer showed their love and appreciation to the fans before the first pitch.The Blue Jays picked up their first win of the season, despite giving up a game-tying home run in the ninth inning, which was enough to induce a little Toronto trauma after last year's season finale.For the most part, Jays fans had lots to celebrate as the 2026 season got underway.But there were a few things that some fans don't seem to be celebrating.The team unveiled revised banners on Friday night to celebrate the team's accomplishments. Among them, a banner raised to celebrate the 2025 season reads "ALCS Champs," which is a little redundant.
