The Labour Party (LP) in Bauchi State has launched an online revalidation and membership registration drive across all 20 local government areas and 312 polling units. LP Chairman Alhaji Mohammed Sabitu Aliyu described the process as successful and hitch-free, utilizing ICT to modernize party operations. The initiative aims to strengthen grassroots participation, particularly from rural communities, to ensure a credible candidate for the 2027 elections. Sabitu emphasized the importance of a free and fair state congress, allowing members to vote for their preferred candidates. Despite these efforts, the party faces funding challenges and has no internal factions.
