Surgery to fix my 'Ozempic face' left me unable to close my eyes

Joanne Law, a 56-year-old mother of two from Manchester, lost seven stone after undergoing gastric sleeve surgery in Turkey in February 2023. She then opted for facial surgery in June 2023 to address the 'Ozempic face' effect, which left her with a gaunt appearance. The surgery, costing around £5,200, aimed to enhance her face, neck, and eyelids. However, it resulted in complications, including blepharitis, causing eyelid swelling and blisters for three months. She now struggles to fully close her eyes, leading to dryness and tearing, and cannot drive at night due to light sensitivity. Additionally, she suffers from painful scars and a 'wobbly turkey neck.' The procedure has impacted her confidence, prompting her to use makeup to conceal her scars.
