An agreement was reached between the Syrian government and the PKK/YPG, leading to the terrorist organization's disarmament and integration into state institutions. The agreement, signed by Syrian President Ahmed al-Assad and PKK/YPG leader Ferhat Abdi Şahin (Mazlum Kobani), involves a ceasefire, the integration of PKK/YPG members into Syrian state institutions, and guarantees the representation and political participation rights of all Syrians, regardless of religious or ethnic background.
