Frankfurt's introduction of a payment card for refugees is delayed until summer due to technical issues. The card will limit cash withdrawals to €50. Social Affairs Minister Voitl announced exceptions for minors and part-time workers who will continue to receive full financial support in cash. As of March 6th, only 770 payment cards have been issued to refugees in initial reception facilities in Hesse. A proposal from the Left faction for unlimited cash withdrawals was rejected, and the initiative "Frankfurt says No to the payment card" spoke out against the card at the Social Committee.
