The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg reveals where he was when he realized Yemen war plans were real

Hegseth denied that he was ‘texting war plans’ even after an administration spokesperson confirmed the group chat’s authenticity

Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic reported that National Security Advisor Mike Waltz added him to a Signal group chat discussing U.S. strikes on Yemen. Goldberg realized the plans were real while in a Safeway parking lot, as they coincided with actual strikes. Despite a National Security Council spokesperson confirming the chat's authenticity, Hegseth denied texting war plans, a claim Goldberg refuted. The White House is investigating how Goldberg was added to the chat.
