Brady Corbet, the director of 'The Brutalist,' revealed he has earned zero dollars from the film, despite its 10 Oscar nominations. He and his wife, co-writer and producer Mona Fastvold, made no money from their last two films. The film, which cost $9.6 million to produce, has grossed $14.6 million in the US. Corbet, who took on advertisement work in Portugal to earn money, mentioned that many of his fellow nominees are also struggling financially. He highlighted the financial pressures faced by filmmakers, noting that some can't even pay their rent. Corbet described the press circuit as a 'six-month interrogation,' having done 90 interviews in a week. He contrasted this with the financial success of other Oscar-nominated films like 'Dune: Part Two' and 'Wicked,' which have made significant profits, unlike smaller films.
