Victoria, Australia, has one of the world's best cardiac arrest survival rates, ranking third globally behind King County (US) and Denmark. This is attributed to factors including widespread public defibrillators, a volunteer responder app, quick CPR and defibrillation, and a high rate of patients receiving CPR and defibrillation before paramedics arrive. The survival rate to hospital discharge is 41%.
