Three PIP conditions set to 'keep their payments' in new DWP points system

Changes to the Personal Independence Payments system could cut £5 billion off the budget but leave a 1.2m 'losing support'

Proposed changes to Personal Independence Payments (PIP) aim to cut £5 billion from the budget, potentially impacting 1.2 million recipients. Those most likely to lose support are individuals currently qualifying for the Daily Living element of PIP who score under four points in each of the 10 assessment categories. Individuals with learning difficulties, cerebral palsy, and autism are least likely to be affected due to typically scoring higher on the Daily Living part of the PIP assessment.
