A family has issued a warning to parents about how a simple innocent kiss from an adult can have devastating consequences for young children.
Two-year-old Juwan lost sight in his left eye after contracting the herpes virus from a kiss, resulting in a corneal hole. Doctors sewed his eyelids shut to protect the eye, and the family is preparing for an operation to try and restore the connection between the eyeball and the brain. His parents are urging others to avoid kissing babies.
