Travellers face jail unless caravans are removed from site of €31m Limerick roadway, judge warns

A judge in Limerick District Court warned four Travellers they face jail if they don't remove their caravans from the site of a €31 million roadway by February 24th. The four pleaded guilty to failing to comply with Limerick City and County Council's enforcement order to remove their caravans. Jail sentences will be suspended for one year if they comply and don't return, with a €500 bond required. A bench warrant was issued for a fifth defendant who didn't appear. The Council offered accommodation to some defendants.
