Türkiye's efforts led to Syria regaining its seat in the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) after a nearly 13-year suspension. This was achieved through Türkiye's initiatives, including adding the issue to the agenda of the OIC Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers in Jeddah, resulting in the adoption of a resolution to reinstate Syria's membership. Syria's Foreign Minister was then invited to the meeting.
