The Trump administration is reportedly attempting to deport an Indian post-doctoral fellow from Georgetown University and previously detained a Columbia graduate, both allegedly under an immigration law provision allowing fast-track deportations for non-citizens deemed a threat to the U.S. Georgetown stated the fellow was granted a visa for peace-building research and they are unaware of any illegal activity. A federal judge previously deemed this deportation provision unconstitutional.
