Trump to sign executive order instructing agencies to hunt down regulations that violate Constitution

The executive order will require federal agencies to submit a list to the Office of Management and Budget of regulations that could violate the Constitution.

President Donald Trump is set to sign an executive order directing federal agencies to identify regulations that may violate the Constitution, as part of efforts to reduce regulatory overreach. The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and the newly established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) will lead the initiative, requiring agencies to submit lists of potentially unconstitutional or harmful regulations within 60 days. The OMB's Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) will then assess these regulations and determine which ones to repeal. This action follows Trump's broader efforts to cut regulations, including previous orders to eliminate multiple existing regulations for each new one introduced.
