Following a contentious Oval Office meeting and a subsequent pause in U.S. military aid, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy called his spat with Trump "regrettable" and expressed readiness to work under Trump's leadership for a lasting peace. He also indicated Ukraine is prepared to sign a minerals and security deal with Washington and reiterated a willingness to negotiate an end to the war with Russia. The Kremlin responded positively to Zelenskyy's openness to talks.
