Ukraine and US delegations to meet in Saudia Arabia following Russia

Moscow and Washington reportedly aim to release a joint statement today

Ukraine and Russia agreed to a US-brokered truce in the Black Sea, committing to safe navigation, eliminating force, and preventing the use of commercial vessels for military purposes. The agreement, reached after talks in Saudi Arabia, includes measures to ban strikes against energy facilities and requires US involvement to ensure compliance due to mutual distrust. Russia seeks sanctions relief for its companies involved in food and fertilizer exports, while Ukraine insists that Russian military vessel movement outside the eastern Black Sea violates the agreement. The US and Ukraine will continue working towards prisoner exchanges and the return of detained civilians and children.
