Le projet Montréal, ville de femmes vise à rendre hommage à celles qui ont contribué au rayonnement de la métropole.
"Montréal, ville de femmes" is an initiative by Chantal Ringuet, in collaboration with the Université de Montréal and the STM, to highlight women's contributions to Montreal. Created for International Women's Day, the project features an alternative metro map where 68 stations are named after notable women, showcasing a diverse and inclusive view of the city. The goal is to raise awareness rather than replace existing station names. Inspired by similar projects in New York, London, and Barcelona, the map is available online and displayed in the metro network.
