University Hospital Kerry apologized in High Court for "deficiencies" in care that led to the death of Helen Fitzgerald, 74, in June 2018. Her family settled an action against the HSE, claiming failures in her assessment, treatment, and transfer to critical care after she developed stomach pain, an infection, and kidney failure.
