A venomous Ornate Cat-eyed snake was discovered in a shipment of bananas at a Market Basket store in Manchester, New Hampshire. Likely originating from Central or South America, the snake was unharmed and taken in by Rainforest Reptile Shows, where it is now in a temporary habitat. Though mildly venomous, the species is generally calm and rarely bites. The snake may be used for educational programs or placed in a zoo or aquarium.
