VIDEO Sistemul informatic din sănătate va mai avea întreruperi cel puțin o săptămână. Șefa CNAS: „Este foarte vechi. Se vindecă și cade din nou”
Romania's health information system, PIAS, has been offline since the start of the month. Valeria Herdea, head of CNAS, attributes the issues to the system's age, noting it was established in 2002 and is now obsolete. Maintenance efforts, expected to last 7-10 days, may cause further disruptions. The current system must remain functional until June 2026, when a new system, PIAS 2, funded by PNRR, is set to launch. Patients face challenges accessing services, while medical staff resort to offline operations.
