VR headset and yoga mat added to basket of items used to track UK inflation

The Office for National Statistics said its inflation basket of goods show how consumer spending has evolved over the years.



The UK's Office for National Statistics (ONS) updated its "basket of goods and services" used to measure inflation, adding items like VR headsets, yoga mats, pulled pork, ready-to-use noodles, smoked salmon and mango fruit, while removing newspaper adverts and in-store cafe meals to reflect changing consumer spending habits.
