Huge flames and plumes of smoke seen bursting from the electricity substation as the fire shuts Heathrow Airport
A fire at an electricity substation in Hayes, west London, caused a large power outage affecting over 16,300 homes and local businesses. Ten fire engines and 70 firefighters responded to the blaze, which sent flames towering over the facility and forced Heathrow Airport to shut down temporarily.
