Rubiales was accused of sexual assault and of trying to coerce Hermoso to publicly support him
Luis Rubiales, a former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and former vice president of UEFA, was found guilty of sexually assaulting Jenni Hermoso by kissing her without consent during the 2023 Women's World Cup. He was fined over €10,000 and ordered to stay 200 meters away from Hermoso for a year. He was acquitted of coercion, but other officials involved were also acquitted. Rubiales faced additional corruption allegations, including leaked documents related to deals with Gerard Pique.
