Case could be struck out after State agrees to amend regulations, counsel says
An XL Bully dog case taken by animal welfare charities against the Irish State has been settled in the High Court. The State agreed to amend regulations concerning the seizure and euthanasia of XL Bully dogs in the care of animal welfare organizations. The regulations were initially stayed by the High Court, but a second injunction on the ban preventing rehoming was refused. The case was brought due to concerns about the lack of a review process for dogs misidentified as XL Bullys.
