The Bucharest Metropolitan Area Intercommunity Development Association (ADIZMB) has installed 12 textile collection containers in five locations within Ilfov County as part of the Green-Tex project. This transnational initiative, involving 11 partners from nine Danube region countries, aims to promote a circular economy by recycling textiles. The project includes a conference on sustainability and public awareness campaigns. Green-Tex, funded with €1.79 million over 30 months, addresses the environmental impact of textile waste, which contributes significantly to pollution and emissions. The initiative seeks to establish best practices and regional solutions for sustainable textile practices.
