216 CAPITAL has participated in a $1.5 million funding round for Arcube, a travel-tech startup that uses AI to optimize ancillary services for airlines, enhancing customer engagement and revenue. Arcube addresses the issue of traditional loyalty programs benefiting only a small percentage of frequent flyers by offering inclusive post-flight services. The startup has successfully partnered with Etihad Airways, generating additional revenue and increasing customer spending. The funding round is co-led by 216 CAPITAL and includes other investors. 216 CAPITAL believes in Arcube's potential to expand beyond airlines into other travel sectors and leverage Tunisia's talent pool to grow in Africa. Arcube is in talks with 14 airlines and aims to redefine loyalty in the travel industry.
