23 more people killed by Israeli strikes on Gaza, medics say

Israel’s campaign in Gaza has killed more than 50,000 Palestinians and wounded more than 113,000, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.

Israeli strikes in Gaza killed at least 23 people, including three children and their parents, according to Palestinian medics. The strikes occurred overnight into Tuesday, near Khan Younis, and are part of a renewed bombardment after a ceasefire was broken. Gaza's Health Ministry reports over 50,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 113,000 wounded in the 17-month campaign, while Israel claims to have killed around 20,000 militants. In the West Bank, the wife of an Oscar-winning Palestinian director reported he was beaten by men in military fatigues, and Palestinian residents reported an attack by settlers on a village. The Israeli military said it detained three Palestinians for allegedly throwing rocks and one Israeli civilian involved in a violent confrontation.
