5 Ontario men charged after $100K worth of cigarettes stolen from corner stores

Police say five men have been charged in an investigation into commercial break-ins that saw hundreds of thousands of dollars in thefts in Guelph, Ont., and other areas.



Five men from the Greater Toronto Area have been charged following an investigation into commercial break-ins at convenience stores and an auto repair shop in Guelph, Ontario. The thefts, which began in December, involved approximately $100,000 worth of cigarettes and lottery scratch tickets. Police recovered thousands of cigarette packs and scratch tickets, along with $10,000 in cash. The men, aged 24 to 37, face numerous charges including break and enter and possession of stolen property.
