Delta offers $30K to passengers on plane that crashed in Toronto
Delta Air Lines announced earlier today that it would be offering compensation to those on the plane that crashed at Pearson Airport in Toronto. 76 passengers and 4 crew members survived the harrowing ordeal that saw flight 4819 arriving from Minneapolis burst into flames on Monday afternoon after its wing clipped the runway upon landing among heavy wind gusts in Toronto.Delta's payout comes with "no strings attached" according to the airline and is available to all passengers regardless of whether they were among the 21 who ended up at a local hospital or were among those who walked away with just some bumps and scrapes.Of the 21 passengers sent to hospital, all but one has now been released.According to the airline, Delta assisted passengers with hotels, meals, transportation and other personal needs after the incident.
