‘A boot right in my face’: Brendan Courtney assaulted in Dublin city

‘I believe they were out for the hunt,’ says TV presenter, who fears ‘anti-gay rhetoric building’



TV presenter Brendan Courtney was assaulted in Dublin city on Thursday night near Queen Street Bridge and Usher's Quay, sustaining head injuries from being kicked. He described it as a random attack and received a CAT scan at the hospital the following day. It's his second assault in Dublin, having previously experienced a homophobic attack in 2015.
