Chief Samuel Ortom, the immediate past Governor of Benue State, mourned the passing of Pa Ayo Adebanjo and Chief Edwin Clark, describing them as patriots and nationalists who made significant contributions to Nigeria. Adebanjo, a leader of Afenifere, was known for his dedication to justice and equity, playing key roles in political movements like the Action Group and NADECO. Clark, a Federal Commissioner for Information and leader in PANDEF and the South and Middle Belt Leaders Forum, contributed to education, development, and peace in the Niger Delta. Ortom extended condolences to their families, emphasizing their profound impact on Nigeria.
